nova gothic yarn crawl
I'm back in Wolfvegas for the first time in 3 years, and mostly it doesn't feel like I've been out a day. I'm told that NS is begging for teachers. It may be time for a return move.
Anyway, I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about my Yarn! Frenzy!
I only had 25 blissed-out minutes in Gaspereau Valley Fibres, but I still managed to rack up just as much retail as my new job celebration.
- Scored: 6 balls of discontinued tweed, on sale for $4 a pop, destined for the top-secret so-crazy-it-just-might-be-publishable design I've been mulling since early spring.
- Adored: 2 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca for a gift this winter. So soft!
- Afford: 2 skeins of GVF natural grey handspun, all I could afford. Mittens & a hat, I think.
- Overboard: 1 glorious skein of Seasilk in the richest blues imaginable.
Blake loved the place, from the yarn to the drop spindles to the sheep skins to the bathtub full of roving. He cried when the Boy took him away for a little air, but cheered up when he made friends with one of the sheep and a pen of chickens.
This may be like the Lion's Club Fish n' Chips; having gone there once I may have to return again and again while I have the chance. I think my credit card can withstand one more visit.

Don't make me send out the Blake. He doesn't listen to *anyone.*
