so very busy

Not very much time to sit down & write in the past two days. Don't feel bad; I've also given up meals, sleep & pleasant times with Blake & the Boy. We've been on the road a whole lot this week, trying to get a few tiny chores done before the holidays descend. Traveling with a newborn requires more planning than the Invasion of Normandy - we always aim to get him out between feedings, but we almost always end up feeding him in public. At least I got my EI claim finished.

Today we had our 2 week visit with Hectate. Blake is a baby of mathematical precision: once again his weight gain was a hearty 5 ounces. We're now 1 ounce shy of his birth weight, but seeing how he's bulked up over the past 2 weeks, I can't imagine where that pound disappeared to.

Hectate was able to guess who we knew in common. Life is very, very strange.
